Innovated and rapidly growing automation and controls company wants to immediately hire a Controls Engineer III and Controls Engineer IV. As a Controls Engineers you will work in both an office environment when designing and engineering control systems and in an industrial environment. Controls Engineers work closely with the electrical contracting division as required. They are led by an experienced Project Manager and work with a team to design systems and develop code for complex automation projects. The Controls Engineer is expected to service a large customer base composed primarily of dairy processing, food processing, bottling, and packaging industries. Salary depends on experience.  Evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid CA or NV driver license 
  • BS in Engineering or 4 to 9 years’ experience in automated control systems integration
  • 2+ applicable certifications (i.e. Rockwell, Wonderware, Ignition, etc.)
  • Trained/mentored 2+ employees 
  • 90% billable average for the last 6 months 
  • Measurement - sensor types, senor characteristics, and calculations
  • Signals/Networking - network types, grounding, calculations, protocols, and design
  • Control Elements - valves, pressure devices, motor controls, solenoids, regulators, etc.
  • Control Systems - drawings, theory (basic processes, control, PID, discrete, sequential); implementation (HMI, PLC, installation, network, testing)
  • Safety - documentation, theory/SIL, implementation
  • Codes, standards, and regulations - IEC, ISA, NEC, NEMA, NFPA, OSHA
  • Maintain and develop customer relations
  • Maintain project labor budgets and deadlines
  • Participate in training to improve any necessary skills
  • Train/mentor engineers to help develop the engineers and our comapny
