  • Direct the accounting department including staff training, policy/procedure formulation and implementation and act as financial spokesperson for the organization.
  • Ensure adequate internal controls are in place in order to safeguard company assets and conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist COO on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, sourcing new funding, acquisitions and restructuring of business units.
  • Initiate budgets, working with departments to set budgets and forecasts; review budgets and forecasts monthly with leadership team.
  • Maintain and develop banking relationships for the organization; monitor banking activities and daily cash management, including preparation of cash projections.
  • Oversee efficient and timely processing of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivables, credit and collections and stay informed of collection issues with customers.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes; review CPA prepared tax returns before filing.
  • Manage administration of the 401(k) plan, including recommendation of provider, funding of contributions and company match.
  • Oversee pre-qualification applications and customer required paperwork.
  • Direct the organization’s commercial and group insurance plans, including annual cost review, collection of quotes and recommendations to management as to which plan to acquire.
  • Review, critique and assist with negotiations of contracts.
  • Oversee audits and reviews performed by independent auditors and resolve audit issues.
  • Ensure the organization has required business licenses and permits.
  • Research facility costs, recommend properties for lease and negotiate lease terms.
  • Maintain knowledge of legislative rules and regulations to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws governing the organization from a tax, financial or contractual basis; manage and coordinate all fiscal reporting activities including internal and external financial statements as well as reports to funding and tax agencies.
  • $85,000-$105,000/annually, depending on experience
